Thanks for the Pizza

So we had guests at the office today. They brought lots of Pizza.. hahaha.. Everyone was encouraged to have a slice or two. I just took one thinking that everyone should have a slice, at least. I was very busy thinking of the  cello stand at woodwindsbrasswinds so I simply took one slice and went away for classes at the next building. 

To my surprise, when I got back, I was given another slice. I told them I was already done with mine, but the guys insisted that we each had to have two slices each.. Whoa.. Thank you for that, but I didn't take my pizza. I gave the second slice away to the first interested human being, since it was too salty and oily for what I am allowed to.. But of course, I didn't tell that to their face. They might be offended. I simply said I was full. But I guess that is not really an issue, the boys love pizza so much, each can finish a box each, especially with a cold bottle of beer.

Barbecue and Sundae Night

The girls and I had this urge for Barbecue so we walked a few meters away from the school for our Barbecue dinner. Pardon my plate full of different kinds of skewered goodies. There's Isaw or skewered intestines of chicken, skewered liver of chicken and skewered pork.. Plus two hanging rice.. ahhmmm,, actually, make that 3, hehehe.. 

After dinner, as we were walking back towards the school, we passed by Jollibee and decided for some Sundae for dessert.. 

Oh well, night ended very well.. Yummy dinner and dessert.. Simple and hearty, plus good company..

Pizza Pasta Breakfast By Myself

I love this place at this time.. I entered at exactly 8:30 and no one was there but me.. Hahahaha.. I love the fact that I am the only customer and all my requests are given.. 

I forgot that I have not eaten breakfast and after walking from school to the bank, I was famished.. Hence, this breakfast.. The spaghetti had lots of sauce and the pizza was just right.. Yum. It's not really bad eating alone.. After all, I just ate and run.. hahaha

Yummy Silvanas

My parents met my sister in Butuan City for a 25th year wedding celebration, where the couple had their vows renewed through a celebratory wedding ceremony. Sister came from Dumaguete and she brought these Silvanas for us.. Oh how they travelled from Dumaguete to Butuan and then to Cagayan de Oro City.. 

Anyway, every time she comes home she brings home lots of boxes of Silvanas. But since she brought them to Butuan, she shared some with our cousins and relatives and only two were left for us here. Not bad, since we always have our share every time.. 

I am quite amazed because one of the boxes had these mixed flavors of Vanilla and Chocolate. Well, we are fond of Chocolate but Ira, her daughter, likes Vanilla so much.

Sweet Monday

Today we received two sets of sweets. One is from Quesney, as tokens from her daughter's birthday. She actually makes these, and sells them per order. I do not know what she calls these babies, but they are good. 

The second set are three pieces of chocolates from Maam May, pasalubong from her husband, a seaman who arrived home yesterday.. 

Well, thank you guys.. we had a grand time eating them.. Oh, we drank water too.. hahaha.. What a sweet Monday..

Happy Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel--- Carmen was Lunch Haven Today!

Today's lunch was quite heavy.. We had so much food to eat.. Today, July 16 is the Feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and we came to Carmen, a barangay that celebrates said festival in honor of the said Virgin Mary.. The foodfare in photos are not enough. There were more that we didn't bother taking their pictures anymore.. We just took snaps of the food we had over lunch.. 

This yummy chocolate cake is to die for. It's moist and creamy.. 

Above is meat from the Carabao.. It's so soft, unlike the usual thick and hard meat.. Plus it was cooked just right . 

Vegetable lumpia that tastes like meat.. 

Then there was their Spaghetti. Fish Escabeche and Deep Fried Chicken.. 

Maja Blanca and Tapioca Salad.. 

Fiesta is not complete without Humba.. And this Potato and Pork dish. 

Over all, we were over fed today.. Thank you to our host..

Thank you For Lunch Mama Nitz

It's the eve of the Feast of Mt Carmel and our colleague has already been absent because she is to prepare for tomorrow's festivities. Grace and I were the only ones at the office who were not included in the free lunch during NAT. But fortunately for us, Maam Nitz sent her son to give us this yummy treat for lunch.. 

Warm rice, and Sinugbang Baboy with lots of spices.. She even included 1.5 liter of Coke.. Burp.. Yummy lunch.. Thanks Mama Nitz..
