Chocolates from Saudi Arabia

>> Saturday, January 30, 2016

Last week, Maam Remy gave us this chocolate from Saudi Arabia. Her brother arrived with the treat, and she shared them with us.

Today, Karen gave us this same kind of chocolate, also from Saudi Arabia.

I guess most Pinoys, when they come home from Saudi Arabia, would bring this kind of chocolate for Pasalubong. I think we also received this same kind of chocolate a few years back, also from someone from Saudi Arabia.

Dinner with Mama Nitz

>> Friday, January 29, 2016

My favorite co-teacher and I had a very long day. To relieve us from stress, we decided to have dinner at the newly opened food place just a stone's throw away from our school.

We had Pater al Kuwait's Pater Combo meal, which is composed of a choice of Pater, with Palapa and one Fried Chicken Masala, and a drink. Mama Nitz chose the Chicken Pater while I had Beef Pater. They were both good.

Now I am thinking of making my own Palapa.. Thank you Mama Nitz for this treat..

Banana Sunday

Because it's year of the monkey, we have come to enjoy Bananas, and I am sure we will have them year round. Hahaha.. See, when we welcomed the new year, we have two bunches of two kinds of Bananas, Saba and Cavendish.  We have eaten most of the Cavendish Bananas, and given some to our friends, but the Saba have not been cooked at one time. We cook them when there are ripe ones ready for our imaginative culinary gut. Like, today, we have two recipes prepared.

I did this Chocolate Bananas again. I have shared this previously here. But to make everything clear, let me just tell you how it was done today.

My sister boiled some Bananas and I took seven of them for my creation. I simply allowed the chuncks of Dark Chocolate melt unto the steaming hot bananas. Allowed the melted chocolate to coat all the bananas, and when they did, it was time to serve them..

My mom loved them for they aren't too sweet.

My baby girl loved them too. But my sister Sweet had other plans. She made this Creamy Bananas with Cream and Milk and they sure are sweet as the maker.

Anyway, everyone enjoyed all the Bananas served.. As for me, I can not help but imagine my Banana Parsley with Peppermint, Basil and Mint Leaves, mixed with my Vanilla Protein breakfast shake.

Oh I was in heaven this morning.. hahahaha..

I think I am gonna have another Banana shake for dinner..
