Seminar & More

>> Sunday, September 28, 2014

My sister and I attended the seminar, "Loving, Caring and Educating Children with Special Needs", at the VIP Hotel this afternoon.

We were served with this Pansit and toasted bread for snacks with a bowl of fruit salad.

After the seminar, we had errands to run, so when we finished, my sister and I went to Dunkin Divisoria branch for some hot choco and donuts. It was too long ago that we visited this place. Used to be our hang out in college, especially when we are to wait for classmates or group mates for a school project or group studies.

When we were done, we proceeded to Ororama where our parents were waiting for us.

All Because of the Game

>> Saturday, September 27, 2014

It was agreed that my siblings and Lili will meet me at McDonalds XU prior to River's game. My brother's team will be playing the championships this afternoon and so, as always, it's me and the gang in full support.

I ordered afternoon snacks for them and while waiting, I couldn't help but feel excited for the game to start.. When they arrived, they told me that River went ahead with the team for warm up, and the two enjoyed their snacks.

Lili requested for fries, but since they just had fries three days ago, we didn't buy any. They are still allowed to eat fries but in moderation and proper regulation. Fries are bad for the body, much more so, when taken daily, and in great portions. So Lili took her time to enjoy her Sundae instead..

That was enough to give full energy for the games..

The team lost, but it was a very good game. As a consolation, or my way of celebrating defeats as well as victories, we went to their favorite Jollibee afterwards.

They ordered their favorites; each kid had Burger Steak while my sister ordered her favorite Spaghetti and Burger.

I had Chicken Joy, minus the skin..

And of course, minus the rice and the gravy, lol..

All is well, still. It was a great night.. But it did not end there.

While we were waiting for our ride, a Manong selling Balot passed us by, and so they each bought Balot and a pack of Chicharon.

Making Left-overs Come Alive Again

We had so many fishes in the refrigerator that had been fried and placed in the refrigerator for days already. NO, they are not spoiled yet, but they just got boring. Sometimes when that happens to food, we just have to make something out of them to make them come alive again.

Take for instance, this recipe of my sister's. She made sweet and sour sauce and poured it over this dish which she garnished with fresh carrot strips and bell pepper strips. I swear, this one, this is just my lunch plate.. The rest, they have already devoured. My brother said this dish is yummy.

Treat from Caltex

>> Thursday, September 25, 2014

We always gas up at Caltex, either in Kauswagan or the one in Gaisano. We have been earning points thru Happy Plus cards as well as enjoy other promos and freebies.

One time we ate at Chowking, after ordering our food, my mom took out her receipts and asked the lady at the counter for additional orders, and this time, they are free of charge.

So gassing up at Caltex paid for two Halo-halo that we shared.

Pasalubong and Altar Offerings

>> Wednesday, September 24, 2014

Before going home, I usually buy fruits and flowers for my Butsudan or altar. Tonight, these are the fruits I was able to buy.

I was able to buy hot bread earlier, but upon going home, they aren't hot bread anymore. Still, the kids love them because they are their favorite cheese bread.

What about you? What do you usually take home?

Look What I Got

>> Tuesday, September 23, 2014

Look what arrived today. I ordered this online just last Thursday evening, and here it is now...

This is actually a very good tool for me to continue with my shakes in the school, as I am not able to go to a nutrition club out side of school anymore. Blame it on the CCTv cameras, lol.

And yes, we tried using it first before I shall bring the set to school for my lunch and snacks :-)

A great idea that saves me..

Sunday with Family

>> Sunday, September 21, 2014

It's Sunday once again. It's time for us to get together as family for lunch. But here are some foods enjoyed before lunch.

Father bought Durian the night before, he opened it last night and chilled it.

The corn vendor arrived at nine, and mother bought some.

My sister prepared this Pork Soup with corn bits, radish and some chayote. Everybody loved this.

We also had the usual Pork Adobo, which is never absent during weekends, as well as some fried fish. No need for pictures as they usually look the same now, you see them in most of my pics anyway, lol.

Another dish which is always present on weekends is Spaghetti. This time, I used minced chicken and some chicken sausage and cheesy chicken hotdog strips.

P 20 Burger Steak at MOGCHS Canteen

>> Saturday, September 20, 2014

Our school have been a haven of cheap foods. Cheap versions of popular foods are found in our school canteen. This is to cater to all the students who could not afford expensive items for snacks, lunch or dinner.

I have discovered a new food item following the opening of Jollibee Velez Branch. I guess this is for those who can not afford to go to Jollibee and buy the One piece Burger Steak meal. My co teacher tried it, bought this for P 20 and he said it was good enough. For the price of P 20 one can already enjoy a filling meal. Well, I have not tried it, but I am taking my co teacher's word for it- He said it was good.

Chicken Day

Today we went to the Kaikan for 12 hours Daimoku Toso. We brought lunch so we wont have to go outside to eat. Lili requested for her favorite Chicken Fillet Sandwich, and that's just what we had.

Oh how she loves it very much.

It's juicy and crunchy, even when it is no longer warm.

When we got home, this is what greeted us. It's Jollibee Chicken Joy and Barbecued Free Range Chicken.

Now all I can imagine is feathers growing on our skin, lol..

>> Thursday, September 18, 2014

We had a luncheon meeting today to discuss and evaluate the recent activity that we, Grade 9 level teachers had. As usual, with our team leader's decision, we went to Dear Manok, which is a stone's throw away from the campus.

We had Pansit Guisado, and the budget meals, Chicken Fillet as well as Fish Fillet.

For dessert, we shared Buko Halo..

We discussed while eating, and afterwards, we moved to planning our next activities. When lunch was over, we were full and productive.
