Another Garden Party

Last night we had a blast at the garden. A few friends came with a few beers and goodies to celebrate our friendship. The Metal Shed outside provided us the luxury of adding more chairs and stools for everyone to sit on, though the space is not so big for our number. Having the Metal Garden Shed allows for comfort and neatness as it keeps all of the stuff hidden for aesthetic means..

In short, we had a grand time regardless of the space... Check out some of our "pulutan" (beer match foodies)... I love the peanuts from Iligan City that Tony brought...

And these strawberries from Bukidnon courtesy of someone whose boyfriend works at DOLE... wink.. wink... Sarah dear, marry him or we all lose our strawberries, lol...

YUMMY SUNDAY: PIZZA MISADVENTURES

Lili, Sweet, River and I went to SM today to pay for the ticket reservation of Honey at BDO. We were supposed to go to XU for the Xavier Days but because BDO was already closed when we went there, we headed for SM. So it was goodbye horse ride for the kids.. Instead, they enjoyed their share of their favorite:

Now, everything would have been okay. We had our favorite foodies in front of us, but the drink:


It was not as good as it should be because they lacked ice cubes. The attendant as well as all the other people at Greenwich SM CDO said that their freezer broke and that they have ordered ice but they were already gone.. Of course, I complained.. Imagine, it was yet 6 pm, no ice for the Four Seasons seems like drinking Calpol with our fave foodies... Oh, and the worst part is not the drink, but the answer of the attendant when I asked where the Pizza server is... Pizza is on the tray but no server, because according to her, they don't have any... So much for serving etiquette...

Anyhow, we managed to enjoy the deal... Then the manager came upon our table and handed us a half full glass of ice cubes, saying that she has managed to get some for us.. Well, that made it all better.. Thank you very much...

After that we shopped for Lili's and River's party shoes and some other stuff for their Christmas party come December 17..

Note: My digicam is still in KODAK Hospital and wont be out till I get a call from them, so I have used some old photos and borrowed some from the web for this post...As proof for this post, instead of photos, here is our receipt, lol...


Paying customers have every right to complain... At least that's what I learned from my stint at CVG...

CHEF JACOB BORJA'S GOODIES

I came by this dude's page at Facebook one fine day and what caught my attention was his sharing of his own version of the recipe for home made Baked Macaroni and Cheese. And although he did not discuss fully the recipe, he captured everything on cam. The Baked Mac, he used four different cheeses and covered most of the basic ingredients and procedure so his visitors may be able to follow through.

On my next visit, I saw the goodies below:


I found out that he is actually accepting orders and these babies here are samples of orders made by his friends and relatives. The photo above is a Chocolate Cake with fresh strawberries, available for P 350, good for 4-5 persons, while below are Chocolate Moist Cupcakes, also with fresh strawberries which he sells at P 20 pesos for a minimum order of 1 dozen, 3-7 days advance booking.


He is actually using fruits as toppers or edible beads.. Don't mistake that for pellet gun bullets okay... lol..

Another batch of cupcakes, Simple Sponge Cake topped with "rainbow" frosting...


And this caught my eye too... Durian Cheesecake! Ah..



And of course, Strawberry Cheesecake... inside their boxes, ready to meet their rightful owners...


Now this may be far out from the batch, but I have included this to show you guys that Chef Jacob makes ordinary treats look and taste extra ordinary.. Yummy Pancake!



And this sinful treat should not be missed as well.



Oh, and the chocolate moist cake below is topped with boiled icing and fresh strawberries, and you can order it at P 150, including the box. According to Chef Jacob, this creation is recommended for couples who like to heat things up a little bit.. Like tender loving kisses and strawberries and choco moist cake in between? Well, it all depends on you.. But of course, this is also a great gift for moms and dads who still go strong and stronger through the years...
